Used film gear. Verified sellers. Your purchase protected the whole way.

Every seller passes an ID check. Every item is graded and photographed against one public scale. Your payment releases when you accept the gear, not before.

Why we built this

You know how Marketplace goes.

The lens is “still available” to twelve people. The seller wants Zelle. The meetup is a parking lot. The camera has 400,000 actuations, not 40,000. And if any of that goes wrong, Facebook’s help center is a dead end.

We built this because we were tired of it too. Here, every seller’s ID has been checked. Where there’s a serial, it’s on the record, so what arrives is what was sold. Your payment is held, and the seller can’t touch it.

You get 48 hours from delivery to check the gear against the listing. If it isn’t what the listing said, open a case and nothing is released. Film Gear Hub reviews it, you send it back, and once the seller confirms it’s back, you get your money back, shipping included. If it is what the listing said, accept it, or say nothing and the seller is paid when the 48 hours end.

This covers gear that isn’t as described. It isn’t a change-of-mind return.

Over $6,000

Large orders settle the same way, held until you accept or 48 hours after delivery. The one difference: we don't take a card for a sale that size, so you pay by bank transfer (ACH) or a pay-over-time option instead.

For sellers

Selling it is worse.

The payment showed up, then reversed after the handoff. The trade-in quote dropped a third once the box arrived. The buyer sent back an empty box, and the platform refunded them anyway.

Here, every buyer is ID checked before their first purchase. They pay before you ship, and you can see the money is held. You set the price, 8.5% comes off when it sells, and nothing gets deducted later. If a buyer says it’s wrong, your record answers: the serial, the grade, and the photos you filed. And no refund goes out until you confirm the gear is back in your hands.

How selling works

Selling takes an ID and about ten minutes

Prove it's you

Government ID matched to a payout account in the same name. One time, not per listing.

List your items

Serial, actuations or hours, grade against the published scale, and a photograph of every mark you declare. That record is your evidence if a buyer disputes the sale.

Ship and get paid

We issue the insured label. Payout lands once the buyer accepts, or 48 hours after delivery.

Browsing needs nothing more. Before your first purchase, you pass a one-time ID check, the same one every seller passes.
